Purpose of the licence

Poland's former VASP registration is not equivalent to current MiCA authorisation. Assess a company's current authorisation status, permitted services and regulatory conditions, and confirm the application or change procedures under the latest regulatory arrangements.

Acquisitions, sales and changes

When considering the acquisition or sale of a company, first verify its current MiCA/CASP authorisation status, permitted services and regulatory conditions. Confirm the application, notification or approval procedures for changes to ownership, directors, control or other important matters.

Advisory pointers

The maximum MiCA transitional period ended on 1 July 2026. When considering an acquisition or assessing a licensed company, verify its current CASP authorisation status, permitted services and regulatory conditions, and confirm the procedures for changes to ownership, personnel or control. A former VASP registration or permission under a member state's framework should not, by itself, be used to determine current authorisation validity or permitted services.
